Week Three Mark Terrell’s Coaching Newbies
Well, by now there should be three posts and the reason there are only two is because I had had one post and then merged it with a second post and so ended up with one long post. But I will make up for it this week.
I said last week that I had had so much WP theme trauma earlier that I wanted to keep using a theme that I found easy for me. But I truly did decide to reform and follow Mark’s suggestions exactly so I took the time to change the theme. It went pretty well. Mark has videos in the student area that we can watch, and pause, and rewind, and watch again to see what to do. I almost made a really bad mistake. I was supposed to be hitting the backspace to delete some code, and I was hitting the delete button instead so I lost a bit of code, but because of the video, I was able to pause, and look at the video, and see what the code was, and retype the code back it.
Mark has made this very, very easy this time. I am so happy with that. He added extra videos with more details and that has helped me a lot. I have rebranded a book as part of my homework assignment. I’m not all the way done with my homework for the week, but I have been working on my blog and homework since I got back from work, so that is about 6 hours or so for today.
I really want to follow Mark’s coaching exactly, as he makes it so easy to understand and that has been the key that I have missed. Actually, as I said before, I am going through this the second time, but with all the background from before, I am getting a lot out of this, so it is probably easier for me than if I were totally new to everything. The one thing I can say about the technical struggles I have had and the things I have had to go through to learn what I now know is that it has helped me to at least become aware of all aspects of whatever problem or question I was dealing with and more capable of understanding the answer when it was given to me.
Well, I will be posting more this week, because the week is not over yet and my homework is not completely finished, but I think I will call it a day.
I was just about to shut this down for the night and then I thought…”I need to test everything”…so I tested the optin form and it is working, so if you would like a copy of the ebook, just request it now.

Hi Cheryl,
I am glad you took the time to watch the videos and change the theme and add the optin form using widgets! WELL DONE.
As you know i have added more videos and more homework that will drive more traffic to your blog, ready for when you launch your first product in weeks to come.
I am so excited for my students because so many this time understand they have to start at the basics and more forward step by step instead of looking for that magic no work system lol
Keep up the good work
Mark
Hello Mark,
Thanks for visiting.
Yes, I know a lot more homework is coming so I’m trying to get it all done on time.
I think I was a bit scattered the last time. I started late. At the same time, I was learning to do squeeze pages and trying to master some technical things so my attention and energy was a bit divided between all the many things I was learning.
But this time, I am starting again from the beginning and trying to keep up week by week. It is hard, you give a lot of homework, but I know it is necessary so I am trying to get it all done.
Thanks for your great coaching and video tutorials, they really help.
Cheryl
