Pages

I have had a suggestion to add more pages.  One suggestion is to add  an “About Me” Page, which actually exists in the upper right hand corner.  Then I need a page about the purpose of my blog.  I am going to have to work a little more on those projects, but I have implemented 3 of the 4 suggestions given to me.  How do you like the improvements to the blog?  Please let me know.

I appreciate comments and if you ever notice anything that is wrong, such as a link that does not work, please let me know so that I can fix it.   Thank you.

    Hi Cheryl.
I like the look of your blog, It is simple and clean as well as informative in regards to what you are doing and hoping to achieve.
one of the plugins I use and which works well is: Onlywire. It its a social plugin to help you post to twitter, facebook, and others. it helps with the ranking of your blog. Take a look at it. Just google onlywire and you will see it.

    Best regards.

      Ron,

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the suggestion.

I have not gotten into social media much yet. I’ve been focusing on learning a lot of other things: squeeze pages, blogs, listbuilding, adswaps, and more.

I did have a Twitter account. The sad thing is, one night I was working on the computer and I was logging into my Twitter account. I was having a bit of trouble and trying to retrieve my password to login. The phone rang, I answered it. I was half-concentrating on on logging into Twitter and half-concentrating on the phone call. I know better than that. I have learned I need to stay focused so I don’t make a mistake. Anyway, all of a sudden Twitter sends me this message….”You have deleted your account.” What?!? There was no warning, no nothing…at least I don’t remember one. But I was multi-tasking, not focused, and I lost everything. So much for multi-tasking.

So I need to get in there and reset up a Twitter account and accounts for the other medias. I haven’t done that yet. But, you suggestion is saved here for when I do get the time to get started on that.

Thanks for stopping by and posting.

This is the first time I have visited your blog so I do not know what it looked like before.

    It is nice and clean.

I have read your About page and yours is an intersting story.

One thing I would suggest is adding pictures to your blog posts. i really think they help pull the post together plus you can use the “alternate text” to put in keywords that are relevant to that post.

    Good luck to you!

      Rick,

Thank you for visiting and for your suggestion. This is actually my second blog that I started as a result of coaching. I got a bit off track with the first one and began posting things “other” than strictly a diary. So, I am making this a diary journey only and my other blog is where I post “other” things. The theme I use is there and what I had on this site before changing it to use what the class was using. I like simple, clean lines. http://cheryljonesblog.com

      Thanks again for visiting.

    Hi Cheryl,

I’m here because you commented on my blog. I appreciate that.

As far as commenting on your blog, I’m like Rick. Not being here before I don’t know what it looked like.

You have a nice clean site,, and that’s important. One thing I would do is make your website name bigger and maybe a little bolder.

How about Marketing With Cheryl .com Dress it up a little and make it ‘sound’ like your announcing it instead of whispering your name.

    Just a thought.

    Good luck,
    Mike

      Mike,

I might do that…maybe when I graduate, sort of like an announcement. I think I should do something. Right now I am so busy with all the homework that I’m not doing too much extra tweaking besides what I am supposed to be focused on. But I will keep it in mind.

      Thanks for stopping b y.

      Davy,

      Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, I like clean, simple lines and a blog that is easy to read. I hope I have achieved that.

Good success with your blog and business as well.

The about page is important because there are people who like to know who they’re talking to.

Your theme is nice but it’s my opinion that your pages do not stand out at all. I wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t made an effort to look for them. Perhaps changing the color would work.

If I could make a suggestion; you should install a ‘subscribe to comment plugin’ so that those interested can be notified when someone has added a comment. This will increase the amount of people who will return to your blog.

      Sire,

You are the second person who mentioned “no About Page” and as you stated later, there is one, but it is not obvious. I need to work on this. I’m writing down the suggestions and will find out how to correct them, hopefully.

I will look into the “subscribe to comment” plugin as well.

      Thank you for the suggestions.

      Cheryl
